Job summary

University of Northern Iowa Alumni and Foundation is seeking a temp groundskeeper to operate and maintain power equipment and light machinery across campus grounds. The role runs Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, and offers a straightforward on-site work environment with an hourly rate of $19.98.

Prior groundskeeping experience is preferred; candidates with related education may qualify as well. All offers of employment are contingent upon a background check.

Job Description:

Under direct supervision, operates and maintains power equipment, truck and light machinery and performs other labor required to landscape and maintain campus grounds.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm

Temporary positions are limited to a maximum of 1040 hours per fiscal year. Hourly rate is $19.98.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

1. One year of experience in operating the machinery and tools used in groundskeeping work or

2. Any combination of related experience and education from which comparable knowledge and ability can be acquired which totals one year.
