Job summary

Fort Wayne Community Schools is seeking a Temporary Tutor for Multilingual Learners in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The role supports English language development for Title III Non-Public students and follows a schedule based on student needs.

Immediate starting date. Must have at least three years of teaching experience and a valid Indiana teaching license or be eligible for an alternative credential (REPA/REPA 3).

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of three years of teaching experience.
• Must possess a valid Indiana teaching license for the assigned grade levels and/or subject areas OR be eligible to obtain an alternative teaching credential (REPA/REPA 3).
• Must be able to transport self to various locations within the greater Fort Wayne area.

Responsibilities

• Tutor Title lll Non - public students in the area of English language development, individually or in small groups in an area outside of the classroom setting; monitor student progress.
• Collaborate with teachers of Title III Non - public students to align English language development instruction with general education curriculum.
• Identify Title III Non - Public students under the guidance of the Local Education Authority (LEA) using criteria outlined in the rules and regulations covering Title III.
• Regularly consult with LEA regarding Title III services for the Non - public site(s).
