Salary range: A reasonable salary range estimate for this position is $70,977-$75,301. The posted UC academic salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. Position Description

The Department of Structural Engineering at UC San Diego is seeking one or more temporary lecturers to teach between one and three courses per quarter. We seek applicants in all structural engineering content areas with the expertise to teach undergraduate and graduate courses. Qualifications

Basic qualifications

• Candidates must hold a Master’s in civil, mechanical, aerospace, or structural engineering, or a related field, and must demonstrate evidence of effective teaching.

Additional qualifications (required at time of start)

• Minimum of one quarter or semester teaching one or more courses, either as Instructor of Record or as a Teaching Assistant.
• Equivalent industry experience, such as a minimum of presenting one or more seminars, or conducting one or more trainings may be substituted for teaching experience.

Preferred qualifications

• Minimum of one quarter or semester teaching at the graduate level.
• PhD in Engineering or a related field.
