Job summary

Goodwill of Colorado is seeking participants for The ReHire Colorado General Office program in Colorado Springs. This government-funded transitional job offers 11 weeks of subsidized wages at 30 hours per week (24 at the site, 6 on Friday).

Participants gain job skills with resume writing, interview preparation, soft skills, and professionalism. The Job Developer and host site supervisor track progress with bi-weekly evaluations to help participants move toward full-time employment.

• Active job searching via public workforce system.
• Unemployed or ≤20 hours/week for ≥4 weeks.
• Family income ≤150% of poverty level.
• Lawfully present and eligible to work in the United States.
• Not incarcerated or unavailable for work.

Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

The ReHire Colorado - General Office position combines wage-paid work, job skills training, and supportive services to help individuals facing barriers to employment in the workforce. This is a government-funded transitional jobs program that was created to connect qualified job seekers with quality full-time employment opportunities. This program is 11-weeks of subsidized wages, 30-hours a week (24-hours at the site, 6-hours on Friday (Professional Friday) with the ReHire team). Professional Friday with the ReHire team focuses on resume writing, interview skills, soft skills, and professionalism. The Job Developer checks in on the participant and the host site supervisor to ensure the participant is meeting the expectations of the job description. Bi-weekly performance evaluations are completed by the host site to give constructive feedback to the participants. This program bolsters our local economy by allowing individuals on public support to become self-sufficient.

• General positions may include patient care, activities assistant, dietary/kitchen, warehouse, retail/customer service, stocking, sorting, basic maintenance, donations, front desk/administrative, food pantry*.
