LEARN Regional Educational Service Center, serving Southern Connecticut, is seeking a Substitute Early Childhood Education (ECE) Teacher for the Creating Connections Early Learning Center in Waterford, Connecticut.

The role involves providing temporary classroom coverage, following established lesson plans, and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment for children from six weeks to three years old. You will support staff and follow licensing regulations and center policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with at least 12 credits in Early Childhood Education (ECE).
• Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Medication Administration and Epi-Pen Training required.

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans and daily routines prepared by the classroom teacher or Site Coordinator.
• Support developmentally appropriate activities for children aged six weeks to three years.
• Foster a positive and engaging classroom environment that supports children's development and learning.
• Assist in maintaining daily schedules, transitions, and classroom routines.
• Provide guidance to children to promote positive behavior and social-emotional development.
• Complete classroom documentation as requested (e.g., attendance, incident reports, or daily logs).
• Attend substitute orientation or training sessions as provided by the Center.
