Overview

We are offering a newly created temporary, non-benefited position for a Dual CT Technologist & Radiology Technologist as an internal resource on the Atrium Health Resource Team, supporting the Radiology Service Line across one of three regions:

  • Region 1: CMC, Mercy, Cabarrus, University City, Stanly
  • Region 2: CMC, Mercy, Pineville, Union, Union West, Anson
  • Region 3: CMC, Mercy, Cleveland, Kings Mountain, Lincoln
Details Include
  • Competitive rates with shift, weekend, and holiday differentials
  • Day and night shifts available
  • 36-40 hours per week
  • Assignments of 13 or 26 weeks
Job Summary

The CT Technologist performs procedures following departmental protocols, operates CT scanners and related equipment proficiently, including contrast injectors, patient monitoring, and transport tools.

Essential Functions
  • Verify requests and orders, consult with Radiologist on discrepancies
  • Identify patients using two identifiers, explain procedures, and prepare them accordingly
  • Gather comprehensive medical histories, review EMRs, and record clinical data
  • Manage exams from start to finish, including administering contrast and evaluating image quality
  • Assist in invasive procedures and practice sterile techniques
  • Follow radiation safety standards and report equipment issues
  • Adhere to safety policies, attend training, and maintain a clean work environment
  • Operate radiology systems for documentation and billing
  • Support other medical staff during exams and emergencies
Physical Requirements

Moderate to heavy lifting, standing, walking, and bending are required. Exposure to various physical conditions and radiation safety protocols is necessary.

Education, Experience, and Certifications

Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT certification in Radiology and CT, current CPR, and at least one year of CT Tech experience are required. Radiology Tech experience is preferred.
