Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a Seasonal Data Specialist to support the BT Prep team's data workflow for tax season. You will work with scanned tax documents, perform data handling, and help deliver reliable data to downstream teams with AI-assisted tools.

This remote role offers paid training, 30+ hours per week Monday–Friday, and a path to return each tax season. Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have participated in a previous BT Prep Tax Season.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Availability: Minimum 30 hours/week (Mon-Fri, 7 am-7 pm CST). Work hours spread across at least four days, with a minimum of four hours per day.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new digital and AI-assisted tools quickly.
• High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to follow guidance while adapting to updates.
• Data-focused, AI-ready mindset: curious about new tools, comfortable with change, and committed to reviewing automated results critically.
• Ability to manage multiple steps of a workflow, shift among task types, and meet productivity and quality expectations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to ask clear questions and explain issues.
• Ability to work efficiently in a remote team environment and independently as needed.
• Commitment to confidentiality and responsible use of technology.

Join Baker Tilly's BT Prep Team! It is an exciting time to become part of the BT Prep team as our seasonal data work evolves through new technology, AI-assisted tools, and changing workflows. As a Seasonal Data Specialist, you will combine careful data handling, critical thinking, human judgment, and attention to detail to help move tax related information from document intake through various steps leading up to tax return preparation. This position offers paid training and the possibility to return each tax season. You will gain valuable experience while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team. You will learn new tools, adapt as procedures change, and help deliver reliable data to the teams who depend on it.

The pay rate range for this job position is $16.50. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location.
