Overview

Temporary Data Entry Specialist at Rasmussen University. This is a full-time, short-term assignment lasting 2 weeks, fully remote. The position pays $20 per hour.

The Temporary Data Entry Specialist is responsible for the review of student financial aid forms and data entry to comply with federal verification requirements to ensure accurate and compliant awarding of Title IV and state aid programs.

Responsibilities
  • Review student verification documents and input data regarding the delivery of the verification documents.
  • Keep Senior Director, Student Financial Aid – Systems and Quality Assurance abreast of issues or concerns regarding verification documents.
  • Maintain and organize records, ensuring data is easily accessible and secure.
  • Conduct and comply with federal verification rules and regulations.
  • Manage a high volume of data entry tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Ensure accurate and effective representation of the University and follow-through with prospective students, enrolled students, business community and high school officials.
  • Embody the spirit of the University’s mission and vision in daily activities.
  • Support and contribute to Rasmussen’s mission and values through professional and collaborative engagement.
  • Perform other duties as directed, requested or assigned.
Reporting Relationships

This position reports to the Senior Director, Student Financial Aid – Systems and Quality Assurance. This position has no direct reports. However, relationships exist across the University and with our external partners as outlined in interpersonal interactions section of this job description.

Requirements
  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably within data entry.
  • Strong computer skills with innovative approach to system integrations.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple demands with minimal supervision; maintain records and files with precision and accuracy.
  • High level of professionalism.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • General knowledge of the higher education industry preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Proficiency in the English language, in both oral and written form.
