Description

About the Role

This temporary opportunity is expected to last 8-9 months and will support the team during a parental leave absence.

Wurth International Trading America is seeking a Temporary Customer Operations Success Account Specialist to support assigned subsidiaries across the Americas. This role combines B2B account support with hands‑on customer operations, serving as a primary point of contact while helping customers adopt products, grow their business, and navigate the full order‑to‑cash journey from order entry and fulfillment through invoicing and issue resolution.

You will coordinate closely with Product Management, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Logistics, Finance, Marketing, Quality, and external partners to keep customer programs and orders moving. The role is a strong fit for someone who builds trusted relationships and brings commercial judgment, operational accuracy, and proactive communication to changing priorities.

What You'll Do

Build Customer Relationships & Support Growth

  • Serve as the primary contact and internal advocate for assigned customers on commercial and operational matters.
  • Learn customers’ product needs, buying patterns, and sales processes; identify opportunities to improve service and grow accounts.
  • Partner on product introductions, promotions, annual sales plans, product bundling, and volume opportunities.
  • Prepare product recommendations, proposals, quotes, and customer updates; support training, customer visits, and sales ride‑alongs as appropriate.
  • Coordinate customer‑facing launch activities and communicate requirements, commitments, milestones, and risks across teams.
  • Analyze pricing and product performance in light of customer needs, market conditions, competitive activity, and profitability goals; maintain pricing in SAP and support price lists.

Own Order-To-Cash Execution

  • Enter and maintain manual and EDI sales orders in SAP, validating pricing, terms, ship‑to details, special instructions, and master data.
  • Follow orders from receipt through confirmation, fulfillment, delivery, invoicing, and exception resolution; monitor open orders, system queues, and delivery dates.
  • Investigate order discrepancies, delays, EDI issues, and master‑data problems, coordinating timely resolution with internal teams and partners.
  • Coordinate domestic, import, export, and drop‑ship orders and required documentation with vendors, warehouses, carriers, customs brokers, and freight forwarders.
  • Track shipments, keep customers informed, expedite when needed, and recommend practical alternatives when supply or transportation plans change.

Protect The Customer Experience & Improve Processes

  • Support accurate invoicing and process credit or debit notes, rebills, claims, and customer complaints in line with approval and documentation requirements.
  • Coordinate customer escalations with clear ownership, timely follow‑through, and thoughtful expectation management.
  • Monitor measures such as sales, order accuracy, backlog, on‑time delivery, invoice accuracy, and response times; flag risks and recommend action.
  • Maintain account records, meeting notes, action items, and procedures; share knowledge and identify ways to reduce rework and improve processes.

What You'll Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field—or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Approximately 3–5 years of relevant experience in B2B account management, sales, order management, customer operations, or logistics; experience across both commercial and operational work is preferred.
  • Experience with an ERP system (SAP preferred), order processing, and pricing; familiarity with EDI and Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of order‑to‑cash processes, fulfillment, and logistics; familiarity with import/export documentation and Incoterms is preferred.
  • Strong communication, relationship‑building, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and follow through on details.
  • A customer‑focused, commercially minded approach and sound judgment in balancing growth, service, compliance, and profitability.

Experience with industrial products, global supply chains, or the Würth business environment is an advantage. Additional language skills—particularly Spanish—are a plus.
