BPR Consulting Group LLC is seeking an experienced Code Enforcement Officer to support municipal clients in Calabasas, California on a temporary assignment anticipated to last 3–4 months. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with zoning, property maintenance, building safety, signage, and related regulations through field inspections and enforcement actions.

The officer will investigate complaints, issue notices, educate stakeholders, maintain records, and collaborate with city departments

Formación

• Minimum two years as Code Enforcement Officer or related public-facing role.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of local zoning, building codes and property maintenance regulations.
• Strong investigative, communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency with basic computer apps and case management systems.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.

Responsabilidades

• Investigate reports of code violations related to property maintenance, zoning, signage.
• Conduct field inspections of residential, commercial, and public properties.
• Issue notices of violation, citations, and enforcement actions as needed.
• Educate owners, tenants, and businesses about code requirements.
• Maintain records of inspections, complaints, violations, and actions.
• Prepare and present cases in administrative hearings or court.
• Collaborate with city departments, law enforcement and legal counsel.
• Respond to public inquiries about enforcement procedures and ordinances.
• Monitor compliance deadlines and abatement progress.
• Stay updated on changes to laws, regulations, and best practices.
