The NC Department of Adult Correction continuously recruits for Temporary Medical Assistants (CMA/RMA) Nurse positions and will accept applications regardless of whether there is a current vacancy. Temporary Role: 11-month position with a 31-day break; renewable upon successful completion of the contract.
Location: Statewide – Work location and shift assignment to be agreed upon during the hiring process.

Demonstrated knowledge of nursing care skills appropriate to its practice.
High School or General Educational Development diploma and one (1) year of related work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Completion and certification of a two-year medical assisting program as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
