At Slalom we are passionate about and dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive team, recognizing that diverse team members are celebrated for bringing their authentic selves to work and are empowered to build solutions that reach more diverse populations in innovative and impactful ways.

Our North Central Public Sector team in Minneapolis supports a strategic, high-volume public sector account with multiple concurrent programs. The Business Operations team supports sales, account, and engagement leaders. We bring efficiency to internal functions and enable consultants to focus their time on our clients.

Location: Minneapolis. Hybrid role, with two days a week on-site. 6-month temporary assignment.

What You'll Do

The Temporary Business Operations Analyst will be responsible for the end-to-end operations of a strategic public sector account, enabling smooth delivery across complex, multi-year programs. This role reports to the North Central Business Operations manager.

Responsibilities include:
  • Account operations and program support:
    • Support the day-to-day operational lifecycle of the account, including coordinating across workstreams, maintaining engagement details, and resolving operational issues.
    • Use internal business systems (e.g., Salesforce, Power BI, time and billing tools) to provide visibility into staffing, delivery, and financial performance.
    • Serve as central liaison between consultants, internal leadership, and IT/Finance teams to resolve questions and escalations on setup, time entry, billing, and vendor/TPA systems.
    • Manage subcontractors, including onboarding, compliance, and coordination with project leads.
  • Onboarding, offboarding, and compliance coordination:
    • Own account-specific onboarding and offboarding, integrating team members into partner and account environments.
    • Coordinate background checks in line with account and partner requirements.
    • Serve as main point of contact for access and security coordination across partner, account, and internal systems.
    • Maintain and expand onboarding materials and documentation across current and future workstreams, keeping storage and organization structures current, consistent, and easy to use.
    • Maintain and build content in information and community management tools (e.g., shared drives, SharePoint) to support knowledge sharing.
  • Financials, forecasting, and reporting:
    • Partner with project and account leads to maintain staffing and engagement forecasts, support financial reporting, and track account performance.
    • Coordinate with client procurement and accounts teams to track contractual obligations, financials, and billing milestones.
  • Contract deliverables and milestone management:
    • Support contract and deliverable oversight: track milestones, coordinate signoffs, and ensure deliverables and obligations are accurately reflected in invoices and internal systems.
    • Develop presentation materials, summaries, and reporting for account reviews and business development opportunities.
What You'll Bring
  • 1-3 years professional experience in operations, project coordination, finance, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior leaders and client stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in managing data, timelines, and documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with core business tools (e.g., Microsoft Office or Google tools) and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Self-starter mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams and functions.
  • Preferred: Professional services or consulting experience, especially with public sector or large enterprise clients.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Power BI, or similar CRM and reporting tools.
  • Experience with or interest in process improvement, operations, and technology-enabled workflows.
  • Exposure to contracts, proposals, or government/enterprise onboarding and access processes.
