University of Notre Dame is seeking a Banquet Server to assist with setup and tear down of banquet events, serve food and pour beverages, and handle guest requests in accordance with university standards.

Ideal candidates must be available for football Saturdays and major campus events, demonstrate time management, strong communication, and uphold food safety procedures while maintaining a professional service throughout functions.

Qualifications

• MUST be available to work football Saturdays and all major campus events
• Capable of managing time effectively with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 6 hours at a time)
• Follow food safety procedures for handling, storing, and serving food products

Responsibilities

• Prepare table service for functions as per direction of the Banquet Captain or Lead Banquet Server
• Follow written specifications provided by the events department
• Participate in equipment removal following meal service
• Professionally serve banquet functions; serving food, pouring beverages, and handling special requests of guests
• Follow established guidelines for the safe handling of food
• Keep the work area and equipment clean and in good working condition

Job Description

Banquet Server

This position assists with set-up and tear down of banquet events. The Banquet Server will serve food, pour beverages and handle requests of guests in accordance with the University's methods and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare table service for functions as per direction of the Banquet Captain or Lead Banquet Server
• Follow written specifications provided by the events department
• Participate in equipment removal following meal service
• Professionally serve banquet functions; serving food, pouring beverages, and handling special requests of guests
• Follow established guidelines for the safe handling of food
• Keep the work area and equipment clean and in good working condition

Additional Information

Pay Rate: $17.50/hr + gratuity
