ULNYP is seeking temporary staff to print, package, and organize ballots for early voting and Election Day. The role involves setting up election equipment, preparing materials, and organizing supplies within an office and warehouse setting.
Strong organizational and communication skills are required, along with the ability to work as part of a team and meet deadlines. Candidates must be a Nebraska registered voter or eligible to register to vote, and must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Temporary positions are not benefits eligible. Incumbent works under the direction of the Department Coordinator or designee, printing, packaging, and organizing ballots and equipment for the Election Office. Compensation: $18.50/Hour Essential Functions: Print, package, and organize ballots for early voting and Election Day. Set up election equipment, prepare election materials, and organize supplies. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, supervisors, County employees, elected officials, attorneys, law enforcement, judges, other agencies, and the general public. Comply with Civil Service policies and regulations, collective bargaining agreements, County policies, and laws to create a cooperative, safe, respectful and quality work environment. Report to assigned location with regular, consistent attendance. Perform other duties as directed and assigned. Education and Work Experience and Other Requirements: Six (6) months of experience using computer programs required. Must have excellent organizational and communication skills. Must possess strong attention to detail. Must be team-oriented. Must be a Nebraska registered voter or eligible to register to vote. An incumbent must have the ability to frequently lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Required sensory abilities include vision, hearing and touch. Visual abilities, correctable to normal ranges include close, distance and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Communication abilities include the ability to talk and hear within normal ranges. The incumbent must possess the hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate computers and other equipment to perform the essential functions.
