Temporary Automotive Test Technician - Impact Lab

Join us to apply for the Temporary Automotive Test Technician - Impact Lab role at Stellantis.

This position involves managing instrumentation for vehicle data collection, ensuring high-quality data recording and processing, reviewing test plans with engineers, and setting up data acquisition systems. The technician should be capable of preparing test setups, conducting tests, acquiring, processing, and analyzing data, and generating reports.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Managing instrumentation required for vehicle, subsystem, and component data collection.
  2. Ensuring data quality for analysis across projects.
  3. Reviewing test plans and understanding equipment needs for load cases.
  4. Selecting appropriate data acquisition systems and transducers, and proper placement.
  5. Using hands-on experience with data acquisition and processing software.
  6. Calibrating instrumentation and transducers.
  7. Preparing test setups, conducting tests, and acquiring data independently or with engineers.
  8. Processing, analyzing data, and creating reports.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with instrumentation, data acquisition, vehicle testing.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office).
  • Valid driver’s license with no more than 2 points.
  • Good communication skills and teamwork ability.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of an A.A.S. degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or similar.
  • Familiarity with digital signal processing and testing setups.
  • Experience with Siemens Test Lab, Head Acoustics' Artemis, or similar software.
  • Experience with NVH instrumentation (accelerometers, force transducers, tachometers, microphones).
  • Data analysis and reporting experience.
  • Knowledge of Chrysler Diagnostic Application.
