Albertsons Companies is seeking an Assistant Grocery Department Manager to lead daily department operations, drive sales, and maintain in-stock conditions, pricing accuracy, and merchandising standards.

You will train and coach associates, schedule staff, and foster a positive team environment while ensuring food safety, compliance, and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Grocery Department operations focusing on customer service, sales, and readiness.
• Deliver friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable customer service and resolve concerns professionally.
• Ensure shelves, displays, and aisles are clean, full, front-faced, and merchandised to company standards.
• Assist with executing planograms, promotional sets, seasonal transitions, and weekly ad merchandising.
• Assist with managing orders, inventory levels, product rotation, and backroom organization.
• Assist with monitoring shrink and implementing procedures to reduce waste and loss.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and operational standards.
• Assist with training, coaching, scheduling, and developing grocery associates while fostering a positive team environment.
• Perform Grocery Department duties as needed and assume responsibility for department operations in the absence of the Grocery Manager
