Job summary

Metropolitan Community College–Kansas City is seeking qualified instructors for pool positions to teach assigned courses, prepare materials, meet with students, and manage grades. Temporary faculty perform course delivery and related duties consistent with MCCKC policies.

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree as specified; preferred experience in community college settings and curriculum development; strong communication and classroom management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in Fine Arts or an equivalent combination of education and experience as required by MCCKC.
• Master’s degree with 18 graduate credit hours in Art, Art History, Digital Media, Fine Arts, Graphic Arts, Graphic Design, or Illustration is acceptable.
• Temporary faculty assignments may be scheduled based on enrollment and operational decisions.

Responsibilities

• Select and develop instructional materials; plan and organize instruction to enhance student learning.
• Provide engaging instruction and assessment to facilitate mastery of learning outcomes.
• Deliver courses as scheduled and manage syllabi, grades, and attendance.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and comply with MCCKC policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support instructional delivery.
