Position: Entrance Station Attendant

This is a customer service position involving greeting visitors at entrance stations or performing specialized duties in parks. Daily interactions require effective communication and public relations skills. Responsibilities include:

1. Staffing the park entrance station.
2. Providing information and assistance to visitors, including distributing maps, brochures, and promoting educational programs.
3. Providing information to boating and non-boating visitors.
4. Selling parks passes, permits, maps, clothing, firewood, and other items.
5. Handling sales of gift certificates, search and rescue cards, registrations, and licenses at some locations.
6. Operating a computer Point of Sale system.
7. Answering telephones, taking messages, photocopying, and filing.
8. Collecting revenue, completing shift reports, and balancing cash.
9. Preparing campground reservations and documenting visitor complaints.
10. Performing light maintenance and cleaning duties.
11. Assisting with special events or programs.

Successful completion of a background screening may be required.

Basic Requirements:

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Experience handling money and working with the public is helpful.
• Proficiency with computer systems, especially Point of Sale.
• Criminal background investigation may be required.
