Job summary

TEKsystems is hiring Cable Technicians for a minimum 1-year Data Center build-out in Temple, TX. This hands-on role involves working both indoors and outdoors, with a standard schedule of Monday–Friday, 6:45AM–3:45PM and potential 10-hour shifts.

The position is contract to hire, onsite in Temple, TX, with pay between $23.00 and $26.00 per hour. Training may require 3–6 weeks in Ohio or Iowa, at $50/day per diem.

Qualifications

• Cat6, punchdown, and cable installation experience.
• Your own basic hand tools (screwdriver, tape measure, pliers, cable stripper, etc.).
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs and climb ladders.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel to Ohio or Iowa for 3–6 weeks of training (per diem $50/day).

Responsibilities

• Pulling and running cable (Cat6).
• Installing wireway, cable tray, patch panels, racks, and fiber optic hardware.
• Building and mounting closets, cross connects, and backboards.
• Terminating 110/66 blocks and completing IDC connections.
• Operating hand and power tools daily.
• Assisting experienced technicians and handling materials on site.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:45AM – 3:45PM (subject to change to 10-hour shifts)

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
