Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• No experience required; on-the-job training provided
• No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities
• Notifies managers concerning the need for repairs
• Establishes effective communication with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and managers
• Complies with safety, security, compliance, and quality standards
• Willing to complete all assigned tasks

Responsibilities:

• Cleans floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming, following proper procedures for chemical cleaners and equipment
• Dusts furniture, walls, and light fixtures
• Removes stains from surfaces using appropriate chemicals and solutions
• Prepares cleaning solutions as per specifications
• Cleans and vacuums carpets, applies spot treatments
• Empties trash and cleans surfaces such as tabletops and chairs
• Polishes furniture and fixtures
• Serves and maintains restrooms
• Cleans glass doors
• Maintains janitor’s closet and equipment
• Requisitions supplies and equipment as needed
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned
