You will safely transport specimens, maintain required temperatures, and follow biohazard handling procedures to ensure specimen integrity.

This role requires a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions, with emphasis on accuracy and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
• Dependable and punctual with the ability to follow established routes and time-sensitive pickup requirements.
• Comfortable handling properly packaged biohazardous materials.
• Ability to use approved coolers, insulated containers, temperature-control materials, and other transport equipment correctly.
• Must be available to drive in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport blood, urine, cultures, and other biohazardous clinical specimens.
• Maintain specimens at the required transport temperature at all times, regardless of outside weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold.
• Follow proper biohazard handling, packaging, and specimen transport procedures.
• Ensure timely pickup and delivery while maintaining specimen integrity.
• Maintain accurate pickup/delivery documentation and chain of custody when required.
• Immediately report delays, temperature concerns, spills, damaged specimens, or other transport issues.
