Job description

Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for an Interim (temp-to-perm) Commercial Real Estate Paralegal.

Overview: This role is responsible for organizing, reviewing, and drafting legal documents to help attorneys prepare for commercial real estate transactions.

Company: Our client is nationally recognized residential and commercial real estate builder.

Experience: Our client is seeking an experienced and skilled commercial real estate paralegal with a minimum of seven years of professional expertise.

Location: The Interim Paralegal will follow a hybrid schedule, working remotely while being required to be onsite three days per week, in Philadelphia.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Interact with members of various teams to help manage real estate deals.
  • Draft and review conveyance and finance documentation, including deeds, mortgages, promissory notes, releases, leases, easements, loan and escrow agreements, title reports and documents, contracts, amendments, assignments.
  • Track all due diligence requirements, key dates, title and survey review.
  • Prepare title objection letters, extension letters and amendments to contracts.
  • Review of permits, licenses, and subdivision plans.
  • Draft, negotiate, analyze leases and prepare abstracts.
  • Prepare documentation relevant to closing, post-closing, dedication of public improvements, homeowner community issues, and third-party home sale conveyances.


Qualifications Include:

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience supporting a fast-paced commercial real estate team
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
  • Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a dynamic work environment
