Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring an Assembler in McGregor, MN to support production by assembling and welding metal components following safety standards. You will operate hand tools and shop equipment in a team-oriented manufacturing setting.

The position offers weekly pay and a temp-to-hire path for long-term stability. Prior welding or metal fabrication experience is preferred, with strong attention to detail and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and manipulate parts up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions.
• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
• Prior welding or metal fabrication experience preferred.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow safety instructions and wear required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform all company values and daily interactions with coworkers and customers.
• Measure and set up equipment, prepare surfaces, and position parts for welding.
• Use hand tools and shop equipment such as grinders, portable spot welders, hammers, screwdrivers, clamps, fixtures, and jigs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, prints, and detailed work procedures.
• Assemble and weld parts to meet quality and production standards.
• Follow all safety policies, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean work area.
