Base pay range

$25.00/yr - $29.00/yr

Hours:

Monday-Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm

Job Summary:

This position is accountable for performing press brake operations and activities. Individuals demonstrate core competencies required throughout the organization, including safety, quality, production, and behavior.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Level 1
  • Operate Press Brake safely when lead or others have set up and validated quality requirements for a specific part.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; heavier loads require a helper.
  • Log EPICOR transactions, including logging in/out of jobs and recording quantities completed or scrapped.
  • Bend parts up to 144 inches in length.
Level 2
  • Perform simple setups on Press Brake using part drawings and Bend Simulations.
  • Set up/observe ¼ inch rule; engage Lead or VSM if not possible.
  • Be forklift certified.
  • Read and follow Shop Loads.
  • Perform inspections with precision measuring and gauging equipment.
  • Perform and document all Job/Routing/Quality procedures as directed.
  • Handle materials, including packaging.
  • Assemble, load, and maintain tooling, fixtures, jigs, etc.
  • Record EPICOR transactions for material movement.
Level 3
  • Suggest process improvements and inform VSM of suggestions.
  • Provide feedback to department managers when job performance deviates by more than 15% from standards.
  • Use M.E.C.R forms and notes for feedback on routing.
  • Understand punch and die configurations, tip radius, and their effects on part geometry.
  • Lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently; heavier requires assistance.
  • Bend parts up to 144 inches.
  • Read and understand instructions, memos, and basic math; possess working knowledge of computer systems.
Lead
  • Train for complex and simple setups.
  • Train others on EPICOR transactions, safety, and quality requirements.
Equipment: Cincinnati Press Brakes (PROFORM, AUTOFORM, MAXFORM – 90, 135, & 230 ton models)

Education
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • CNC experience required for Level 3 and Lead roles.
Skills and Experience
  • Press Brake experience desirable for Level 1, required for others.
  • Blueprint reading, sheet metal inspection, control systems knowledge, material property understanding, setup experience, and layout skills are preferred for higher levels.
Expectations

Focus on Quality, Efficiency, and Safety. Handling larger parts requires awareness of safety and limitations. Consistency is key to timely shipments.

Shift and Employment Details

1st Shift, Monday-Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm. Entry level, full-time, in Fabricated Metal Products industry.
