Under the supervision of a teacher or administrator, Temporary Support Assistants (TSA) assist students with their physical, emotional, behavioral, and instructional needs across preschool, elementary, and secondary levels. Responsibilities include supervising students, supporting self-care, collecting data, and implementing instructional tasks as outlined by professional staff. Employees must be capable of performing duties independently, which may vary based on location and staffing.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency; additional coursework in child development or special education preferred.
Experience & Skills: Patience, ability to work with diverse and students with disabilities, punctuality, proficiency with technology (e.g., Microsoft Office, web conferencing), and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Ability to perform extensive walking, standing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and assisting students with disabilities physically.
