Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a stage electrician in a professional or academic setting.
  • Strong knowledge of theatrical lighting equipment.
  • Understanding of power distribution and safety practices.
  • Familiarity with DMX and signaling protocols.
  • Ability to read lighting plots and hookup charts.
  • Comfort working at heights.
  • Reliable, punctual and team oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Load‑in: Read lighting plots to hang, circuit, cable, and patch lighting instruments and practicals.
  • Focus: Assist the Lighting Designer and Master Electrician during focus sessions, including positioning instruments from ladders, catwalks, or lifts.
  • Strike: Assist in dismantling, sorting, and storage of lighting equipment at the end of a production.
  • Equipment Prep: Perform basic equipment checks and preparation as directed by the Master Electrician.
  • Safety: Adhere to PPE and safe working practices at heights.
  • Collaboration: Work with other production departments for a smooth workflow.
