Job summary

Anne Arundel County Public Schools - Freetown Elementary in Glen Burnie, Maryland seeks a Temp: Support Assistant to assist teachers with the physical, emotional, behavioral, and instructional needs of students across grade levels, as assigned.

Under supervision, TSA will supervise students, support social and self-help skills, observe and collect data, and implement behavior strategies as directed by licensed staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate required.
• Formal academic courses/training in child development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students throughout the school day in classrooms and work locations.
• Assist students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs as assigned by staff.
• Support instruction through one-on-one or small-group activities as directed by teachers.
• Observe and collect data on student performance and behavior.
• Follow school policies and procedures during off-site activities and community-based settings.
