Job summary

Murfreesboro Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Acadia Healthcare, is offering a 13-week, full-time RN assignment on day or night shifts (7:00–7:00) with rotating weekends. This direct temporary role requires Med/Surg experience and a current RN license.

Pay is $60/hour for day shifts and $65/hour for night shifts; not benefits-eligible. Conversion to a regular full-time position may be considered after contract completion, with travel stipends not provided.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license as required by the state of employment or be eligible to practice nursing in accordance with state requirements.
• One year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral health experience a plus.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Overview

This is a temporary, full-time, 13-week nursing assignment with a fixed rate of $60 per hour for Day shift, $65 per hour for Night shift and is not benefits-eligible.

This is a direct temporary opportunity (not an agency contract), and travel stipends or travel reimbursements are not provided. Candidates must have at least one year of behavioral health experience and be available for 3x12hr shifts per week. shifts.

Murfreesboro Rehabilitation Hospital is located within TrustPoint Hospital offering the only acute, hospital-based inpatient physical rehabilitation in Rutherford County.

Specializing in neuro and ortho, our patients are referred by outside hospitals in surrounding areas to our in-patient setting. We offer occupational, physical, speech, and respiratory therapy, in addition to other services like IV therapy, wound care, and rehabilitation nursing.

Med/Surg experience required.

Work Schedule and Hours: 3 x 12hr shifts (Day or Night 7:00-7:00)

Position Details

• 13 week assignment with opportunity to convert to FT employee post contract
• The temp schedule is a Full Time schedule (3 x 12hr)

• PAY: $60/hr for FT Day schedule, $65/hr for FT Night shift

Temporary employees may be eligible to convert to a regular full-time position if offered. Current Acadia Healthcare employees are not eligible for this temporary assignment.

Responsibilities

REGISTERED NURSE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions.
• Provide nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice as defined within the state Nurse Practice Act regulations, policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as facility and corporate policies and procedures.
• Ensure physicians’ orders are legible if taken verbally and transcribed appropriately per policy and procedure.
• Ensure patients’ status is assessed on an ongoing basis and pertinent information is gathered and documented.
• Notify physicians of significant changes in status such as difficulties with detox, medical emergency, change in medical status regarding response to medications, and related challenges.
• Ensure that initial nursing treatment plans are completed upon admission and that all nursing treatment plans are specific to assessed needs.
• Demonstrate knowledge and utilization of universal precautions in providing direct patient care.
• Accurately administer medications per ordered note.
• Document accurate count of controlled substance medication administration on required documents.
• Complete admission and discharge processing efficiently and accurately as directed.
• Exhibit therapeutic rapport with patients by maintaining professional boundaries, respecting personal space, giving patients direct attention, and maintaining rational detachment.
• Provide direction or coordinate the activities of the unit as directed.
• Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, co-workers, and others involved inpatient treatment.
