Job summary

The University of Toledo is seeking a Temp RN for the PACU to maintain nursing standards and coordinate comprehensive care for patients with specialized age considerations. You will lead care teams and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality outcomes.

The role requires Ohio RN licensure, perioperative experience, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certification. Flexibility in shifts, including weekends and holidays, is expected for this temporary assignment at the Health

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Previous Pre-op and/or Post-anesthesia Care Unit experience.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS required.
• Must be willing to rotate shifts.
• Physical requirements: 20/20 vision (corrected), hearing, dexterity, lifting up to 50 pounds, standing/walking, CPR ability.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work with minimal supervision.

Job Description:

Maintains standards of professional nursing practice and coordinates total nursing care for patients with consideration of their specific age needs. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with other health care professionals.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education / Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
• 1. Active RN licensure in the State of Ohio is required.
• 2. Previous Pre-op and/or Post-anesthesia Care Unit experience needed
• 2. BLS, ACLS, PALS required.
• 3. Must be willing to rotate shifts.
• 4. Physical requirements:
  • a. visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected to 20/20 including color vision when applicable;
  • b. ability to hear (with or without aides)
  • c. ability to orally communicate
  • d. good manual dexterity
  • e. ability to push, pull, roll, and transfer/lift 50 pounds occasionally
  • f. ability to stand, walk frequently
  • g. ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel frequently; and
  • h. ability to perform CPR.
