Medical Surgical Telemetry (MS3)

Med Surg 3 (MS3) is a fast-paced 56-bed Adult Medical Surgical Telemetry unit in Biddeford, Maine. The healthcare team provides care to adult complex patient populations across various medical-surgical services, including Pulmonary, Renal, Infectious Disease, GI, Cardiac, Hematology/Oncology, and Orthopedics.

Position Details:

• Short Term Temporary position - 13-week assignment
• Not eligible for benefits
• Pay commensurate with travel assignments
• Full-time (36 hours/week)
• NIGHT Shift (7:00pm - 7:00am)

Post-assignment, incumbents may apply for regular employment with a MaineHealth Entity if a suitable position is available.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be separated from a MaineHealth facility for more than 6 months
• Minimum of 1 year relevant RN experience

Role Summary:

The Registered Nurse - Temporary role provides high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
2. Licenses/Certifications: Current applicable state license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days. ICU, SCU, ED, and PACU RNs require ACLS and PALS certifications within one year or per department guidelines. OB, NICU RNs require NRP certification within one year or per guidelines.
3. Experience: At least 1 year of recent RN experience preferred.
4. Additional Skills: Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for RNs assisting laboring women required.
