Job summary

Montville Township is seeking a temporary Recreation Director to lead and manage the Recreation Department, working roughly two days per week. The role includes planning, developing, coordinating, scheduling, and promoting programs and summer camps, plus coordinating facilities with the Board of Education and presenting monthly reports.

Qualifications

• Must have grant writing and management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in recreation management preferred.
• Knowledge of NJ purchasing laws and operational budgeting.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, schedule, and promote recreation programs.
• Include summer camp programs and community events.
• Coordinate facilities utilization with the Board of Education.
• Prepare monthly reports and attend Recreation Commission meetings.
