Job summary

G-III Apparel Group is seeking a Product Development Assistant (Temp) for DKNY Swimwear in New York City. You will support the product development team in creating, managing, and tracking seasonal samples and product details in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong organization and proactive communication.

Responsibilities include developing materials and trims, maintaining color palettes, building and updating BOMs, and coordinating with factories and overseas partners.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in product development or related apparel field.
• Knowledge of apparel construction, BOMs, and development processes.
• Experience working in a high SKU volume environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support development and approval of new materials and trims from prototype to production.
• Maintain seasonal trim charts with costing and details; organize files.
• Assist with seasonal color palettes for cross-functional and overseas use.
• Manage storage and organization of trims, supplies, and BOM references.
• Create and update production BOMs and track communications with vendors.
• Request and manage sample orders with factories and suppliers.
