Job summary

Snyder & Associates, Inc. seeks two experienced pipeline/civil construction inspectors for a short-term project in Johnson County, Iowa (Iowa City area).

You will serve as the county inspector from pre-construction through construction, ensuring quality of site excavation work and compliance with client standards at the site. Role is temporary (approximately 4–6 months), with a demanding schedule of six days per week, 10–12 hours per day, and overtime paid at time-and-a-half; anticipated start

Qualifications

• Civil and/or pipeline inspection experience.
• Familiar with industry standard safety protocol.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Computer skills for completing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect contractor work to ensure site excavation meets engineering specifications.
• Document preconstruction land conditions.
• Observe construction and restoration to ensure compliance with Iowa law and client standards.
• Coordinate with project team from pre-construction meetings through construction.
