Job summary

Riverside Health System is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to deliver patient care across varied settings under supervision. You will follow established plans of care to restore function, mobility, and relieve pain, while contributing to cost-effective practices.

• Licensure as PTA upon hire with Virginia DVHP license.

Responsibilities

• Follows Plan of Care and performs PTA procedures as allowed by referral to aid restoring function, mobility, and pain relief.
• Participates in facility/department meetings, in-services, and educational programs to engage with resolution processes.
• Completes documentation supporting skilled intervention and adherence to plan of care.

The PTA follows the established plan of care to help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities. This role requires knowledge of age-specific care, growth, and development, and involves participation in patient education, documentation, and interdisciplinary meetings. The PTA also contributes to cost-effective practices through supply management and recommendations for process improvement.
