Job summary

SPX is seeking an Operations Warehouse Admin to assist the inventory control team with documenting, updating, and creating SOPs by warehouse area, and to update inventory records related to obsolescence.

The role involves supporting cost-effective material movement, part usage analysis, and kit preparation for manufacturing across two locations, with opportunities to lead projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of MRP systems, production control and inventory control.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Supply Chain and Warehouse teams in process improvements: documentation / updating SOPs; part usage analysis; warehouse design and layout; kit parts for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Learn and perform testing to enhance system usage and support material movement across two warehouse locations.
  • Assist in obsolescence review / removal from inventory and system update.
  • Lead other projects as assigned.

Job Summary

As an Operations Warehouse Admin, you will assist the inventory control team in documenting, updating, and creating SOPs by functional areas within the warehouse. You will be involved in updating inventory part records in regard to obsolescence.

Job Responsibilities

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

  • Provide support to Supply Chain and Warehouse teams in the execution of technical activities associated with process improvements, such as:
    • Documentation / updating of SOPs
    • Part usage analysis
    • Warehouse design and layout
    • Kit parts for manufacturing and assembly
  • Learn and perform testing to enhance system usage and support execution of material movement throughout two warehouse locations
  • Assist in obsolescence review / removal from inventory and system update
  • Lead other projects as assigned
Qualifications

Required Experience and Education
  • Knowledge of MRP systems, production control and inventory control.
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Familiarity with fundamental warehouse procedures
  • Lean manufacturing experience, including 5S.
  • Manufacturing Environment frequently requires use of foot and eye protection when in production areas
  • Ability to climb, stoop, crouch and crawl
  • Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs occasionally
