Job summary

Minimum qualifications include possessing an Iowa Motor Vehicle Operator’s license, ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and knowledge of cargo loading and securing techniques. This position may require labor when not driving and emergency response capabilities.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Possession of Iowa Motor Vehicle Operator’s license.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to operate moving equipment such as pallet movers and forklifts.
• Ability to safely operate and insure proper maintenance of vehicles.
• Knowledge of cargo loading and securing techniques.
• Knowledge of rules and regulations governing operation of state vehicles.
• Knowledge of motor vehicle laws.

Responsibilities

• Operates motor vehicles to transport materials, supplies to and from offices and job sites.
• Loads, unloads, and secures cargo.
• Hauls trash, refuse, and debris to disposal sites as required.
• Performs vehicle maintenance and basic cleaning/washing.
• Works as a Laborer when not driving.
• Responds to emergency calls, including snow removal, as required.
