The position requires hands-on setting experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with engineers and clients. The assignment is approximately 3–6 months, onsite five days a week.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge and experience in all setting techniques for diamonds and colored stones.
• Ability to evaluate stone layouts and minimize breakage.
• Proven experience with precious metals and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Set diamonds and colored stones using pave, cutdown, bright cut, fancy prong, bead, channel and burnishing techniques.
• Inspect mountings 100% prior to setting and review work after completion.
• Record daily production results, verify work orders, and reconcile stones used.
• Prioritize quality with ongoing self-inspections throughout manufacturing.
• Follow safety, confidentiality and attendance policies; report safety issues.
• Work overtime or modified schedules as needed; operate under a microscope.
