Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) seeks a TEMP FT Mental Health Associate at River Point Behavioral Health in Jacksonville, FL. The role supports clinical staff with patient care, safety, and program participation, spanning ages from preschool to adults.

Qualifications

• Two years of related experience in psychiatric patient care preferred.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; CNA preferred; degree in therapeutic discipline desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a therapeutic relationship with patients across age ranges.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, therapeutic environment and ensure patient participation in activities.
• Provide technical/patient care duties related to patient health and safety.
• Work as an active member of the treatment team providing continuous patient care and role modeling.

We are pleased to announce the following available position: TEMP FT MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATE

Flat rate premium rate per hour $21

This position serves as an active member of the clinical staff; maintains a therapeutic relationship with all patients; assists in maintenance of a safe, clean, therapeutic environment; assures patient participation in program activities; and performs technical/patient care duties relative to patient's health and safety. This position functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and role modeling to patients ranging in ages from preschool through adults.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Education: High School Degree or equivalent required; Certified Nursing Assistant preferred; Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy or appropriate therapeutic discipline highly desirable.
• Experience: Two (2) years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.
• Additional Requirements: MHA’s may be required to work weekends, overtime and have flexible hours.
