Department Information
The Campus Recreation Complex (CRC) is a 300,659 sq. ft. facility located on Ferst Drive on the West side of Georgia Tech's campus. The complex is a unique expansion of the existing swimming and diving venue built for the 1996 Olympic Games. Campus Recreation provides a premier recreation fitness center, aquatic center, recreation fields, and leadership challenge course for the Georgia Tech community. We offer programming that includes Intramural Sports, Club Sports, Fitness Instruction and Classes, and Outdoor Recreation.


Job Summary


Plan, organize, and implement fitness programs. Provide group fitness classes, instructional classes, or personal training. These classes may include activity course sections, aerobic exercise, weight training, dance, martial arts, flexibility, and other various conditional formats. Specific duties will be determined based on assignment and unit needs. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: faculty, staff, students, vendors, and visitorsThis position typically will advise and counsel: class participantsThis position will supervise: NA


Responsibilities


Job Duty 1 -
Provide fitness instruction to the Georgia Tech community (students, faculty, staff, alumni, affiliates) via policy.

Job Duty 2 -
Organize and oversee the daily operations of assigned area of responsibility ensuring that functions are consistent with policy.

Job Duty 3 -
Monitor assigned program results; take corrective actions or implement enhancements as appropriate.

Job Duty 4 -
Attend all meetings and mandatory in-service trainings.

Job Duty 5 -
Participate in Georgia Tech and Campus Recreation special events, as needed.

Job Duty 6 -
Sub classes and/ or fitness sessions, as needed.

Job Duty 7 -
Perform other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications


Educational Requirements
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma

Up to two years of job related experience

SKILLS
This job requires skills as applied within a large recreational facility coupled with specialized knowledge in area of responsibility.
