Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an Escrow Assistant for the Temporary Only role in our Financial Services Escrow Branch.

The right candidate will prepare escrow files, order information for closings, and support the branch with administrative duties to ensure timely processing of transactions. Qualifications include an Associate's degree or equivalent and 6 months to 1 year related experience. Qualifications

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and send opening letters and “thank you” acknowledgements to all parties.
Order title commitments and distribute to all parties.
Order payoff/assumption statements as requested.
Prepare receipts for all funds received from customers and/or lenders.
Order wire transfers and provide wiring instruction.
Prepare loan packages for return to lender.
Assist branch manager with administrative tasks as requested.
Open refinance orders.
Receive builder report, order survey, contact the lender, obtain hazard insurance, and schedule closings.
