Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Temp Assignment Based Registered Respiratory Therapist to join the patient care team on a dedicated unit for a fixed duration. You will work closely with physicians and staff to deliver high-quality respiratory care.

The role requires an Associate degree (BS preferred), 1 year of experience, and current RCP licensure in the appropriate state. You will apply evidence-based practices and participate in patient education and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate degree is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in respiratory care.
• Current RCP licensure in the appropriate state is required.
• Temp to unit designation for a defined number of weeks with cross-location eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate respiratory care as part of the care team.
• Collaborate with physicians and other staff to coordinate patient care.
• Establish a personalised plan of care for each patient and family.

Temp Assignment Based Registered Respiratory Therapists serves as an intricate member of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized respiratory plan of care that promotes optimal health or a comforting peaceful death. The Registered Respiratory Therapist utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. The Registered Respiratory Therapist accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.

These RRTs are temporarily assigned to one unit for a designated number of weeks based on needs of the system. These RRTs possess the skills, competency and qualifications, as well as a requirement to work in any Novant Health location.

What We're Looking For:

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
• Experience: 1 year, required.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RCP licensure in appropriate state, required.
