Courier Newsroom’s State Social Marketing Strategists are the cross-functional brand managers of our state newsroom social accounts. They are responsible for developing and executing organic social strategies that elevate talent-driven content, promote Courier’s digital products, and engage new audiences across our state newsrooms. These strategists work across multiple teams and departments, ensuring that state social accounts are aligned with the overall Courier network and product streams while maintaining localized content and branding.
This role is equal parts social strategist, brand manager, and storyteller. You’ll be responsible for managing the state social content calendar, coordinating across the product, creative, marketing, underwriting, and event teams to ensure all social content aligns with our larger marketing and distribution goals. You’ll also work directly with talent to develop customized platform strategies, ensuring that social-first storytelling, audience engagement, and platform best practices are seamlessly integrated into our content. Above all, we are looking for mission-driven, politically aware strategists who understand how to use social media as a tool to inform, engage, and drive impact.
