Job summary

Mid America Bank is seeking a part-time Teller at the Belle branch to handle routine transactions, assist customers with account information, and promote bank products and services.

The role requires Saturday availability and a weekly schedule of 10–15 hours. We value accuracy, confidentiality, and strong customer service in a fast-paced banking environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, not required and/or prefer to be at least 16 years of age at time of employment.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately process customers’ routine transactions such as cashing checks, depositing money, issuing withdrawals, and collecting loan payments.
• Issue negotiable items such as cashier’s checks.
• Provide customers access to their safe deposit box.
• Complete customers’ special requests as needed.
• Maintain supply of cash and currency in personal cash drawer.
• Count personal cash drawer at the end of each shift to make sure it balances.
• Reconcile personal cash drawer in the event drawer does not balance.
• Interact with customers in person, on telephone, or through other electronic communications in a friendly, helpful, and patient manner.
• Answer customers’ basic inquiries about their accounts.
• Identify customer needs through active listening and provide tailored solutions to enhance satisfaction and build loyalty.
• Comply with bank operations and security procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer and bank operations information.
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Branch Hours

Lobby Hours M-TH 8:00-3:30, Friday, 8:00-5:00, Saturday 8:00-11:00

This is a part-time position in our Belle branch. The associate will work 10-15 hours/week and must be available and willing to work Saturday mornings.

Job Overview

The Teller is responsible for accurately processing customers’ routine transactions in a professional and friendly manner. The Teller also interacts with customers and provides them with information about their accounts and bank products and services.

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

• Previous cash-handling or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Commitment to confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new technologies

Working Conditions

• Will require working on Saturday’s, you will be in a rotation
• Standing for extended periods and handling cash regularly.
