Job description

Position Summary:

The Teller serves as the primary point of contact for customers and non-customers, providing outstanding customer service throughout interactions. They perform various customer transactions daily, provide information, resolve issues, and seek opportunities to strengthen customer relationships by suggesting other bank products and services.

Hours:

Part-Time (20-25 hours), Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM or 12:30 PM - 6:15 PM (with one day off during the week), Saturdays 8:30 AM - 12:14 PM

Note:

To ensure employee engagement, retention, and continued top-level service while growing our branches, well-trained employees at all levels are essential. The 6-month position guideline helps set employees up for success. To apply for another position, employees should be in their current role/branch for at least 6 months. Exceptions can be discussed with a Customer Service Officer.

Essential Functions:
  • Accept and accurately process all financial transactions.
  • Maintain responsibility for cash drawer and follow proper balancing procedures.
  • Work on semi-routine assignments, recognizing deviations from accepted practices.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns.
  • Cross-sell other bank services and refer customers to other departments to meet management goals.
  • Stay informed about products, fees, and policies; stay current on offerings to suggest suitable products.
  • Ensure compliance with all bank regulations for assigned functions.
  • Adhere to all bank policies, laws, and regulations; complete compliance training and follow internal controls.
  • Report compliance issues, violations of laws or regulations as per bank policies.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Previous sales and customer service experience preferred.
  • Effective communication skills, promoting the bank's customer service philosophy.
  • Basic math and proficient computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
Working Environment:

Indoor setting, not exposed to outdoor elements or hazards.

Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.

Occasional sedentary work involving lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
