Role

The Teller II will assist members and potential members with their Credit Union financial needs in a prompt, friendly, and efficient manner, both in person and on the phone, following current service model standards. Refer members to appropriate Credit Union personnel for services outside the scope of given responsibility. The Teller II will also maintain cash levels and balancing for the vault and branch cash equipment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Process member financial transactions, including cash and negotiable instrument deposits and withdrawals, instant issue creation, fraud research and service events, certificates of deposits, check orders, providing savings rate sheets and projections for potential deposits, making payments on and answering questions concerning existing loans, enrolling accounts in online banking, assisting with log-in and self-service questions, assisting with member access to safe deposit boxes, completing and submitting documentation for IRA deposits and withdrawals, and printing transaction history for members. Identify cross-sell opportunities to enhance member relationships. Resolve member questions and concerns, both in person and over the phone. Promote branch and Credit Union campaigns.
  • Handle vault custodian duties: ensure compliance with Cash Policy, maintain and balance the cash vault, and manage daily cash orders. Maintain and replenish automated equipment, manage cards for instant issue, and oversee supplies for coin machines.
  • Support employees with vault transactions and automated equipment, balance cash daily, resolve equipment issues, and maintain branch item retention as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience

Six months or more cash handling and/or customer service experience, including Teller experience.

Education

High school diploma or GED required.
