Description/Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

  • Education/Training: A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills: Proficient reading, writing, and grammar skills; general math skills; proven verbal communication and interpersonal skills; superior customer service skills; detail-oriented with the ability to function in a fast-paced environment; proficient with internet user-level technology.
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Teller is required. Promotion from Teller I to Teller II depends on the ability to perform multiple tasks effectively.
General Responsibilities

Responsible for accurately and efficiently processing customer transactions, maintaining precise records, developing customer relationships, providing assistance, and supporting branch operations.

Essential Duties
  • Provide excellent customer service and handle various banking transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
  • Verify identification, process transactions, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Assist customers with inquiries, promote bank products, and expand customer relationships.
  • Balance cash drawers, prepare reports, and ensure proper supplies at teller stations.
  • Support branch operations, participate in team activities, and provide training to Teller I staff.
  • Support compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, including monitoring suspicious activity and completing required reports.
  • Coordinate work within the branch and with other branches to ensure smooth operations.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and legal requirements, including risk management and safety protocols.
Ancillary Duties
  • Provide safe deposit services, support new account openings, and assist with loans as needed.

Assigned branch location, with possible assistance at other locations.

Equipment/Machines
  • Telephone, teller scanner, calculator, copier/scanner/fax/printer, computer, coin machine, currency verifier, combination lock, ATM.
