Basic Qualifications
  • Education/Training: A high school diploma or equivalent with an emphasis in a business or accounting curriculum.
  • Skills: Moderate reading, writing, and grammar skills; proficient analytical and mathematics skills; proficient communication and interpersonal skills; good eye-hand coordination; ability to operate office machines; ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.; visual and auditory skills.
  • Experience: Customer service or prior banking experience preferred.
  • Work Schedule: In-office role, required to be on site five to six days a week, including Saturdays, depending on schedule.
General Responsibilities

Support the paying and receiving functions of the community office, coordinate work within the department and with other departments, report to supervisor, and respond to inquiries.

Essential Duties
  • Greet and serve customers courteously.
  • Identify new business opportunities and refer customers accordingly.
  • Accept deposits, verify transactions, and research errors.
  • Cash checks within authority, accept utility bill payments, sell cashier’s checks and money orders.
  • Handle loan payments, safe deposit box rents, night and mail deposits.
  • Maintain cash levels, prepare daily cash reports, and balance cash drawer.
  • Prepare reports, process manual transactions, and manage supplies.
  • Coordinate with other staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Follow laws and policies to promote a harassment-free environment and comply with regulations.
  • Report and respond to inquiries from supervisors, customers, and staff.
Ancillary Duties
  • Provide safe deposit services, support non-paying activities, and service ATMs as needed.
  • Verify and wrap coins for vault cash control.
