Job Description

The Teller I works in a TD Store location, delivering legendary customer experiences while processing banking transactions accurately and efficiently. The role also involves educating customers on TD's products and services or referring them to specialists for tailored solutions.

Depth & Scope

  • Execute TD's Brand promise by providing a Legendary Customer experience
  • Perform customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan and safe deposit payments
  • Process cash transactions with high accuracy
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve concerns, escalating when necessary
  • Lead lobby activities by welcoming and guiding customers
  • Understand customer preferences and educate on self-service/digital options
  • Conduct needs-based conversations, offering financial and digital solutions or referring to specialists
  • Make sound decisions and resolve problems promptly
  • Ensure operational compliance with policies and regulations
  • Verify customer identities and follow authentication procedures
  • Balance cash drawers and ATMs accurately
  • Adhere to safe deposit procedures and safeguard cash and confidential information
  • Follow security measures to prevent loss and detect fraud
  • Complete required training by deadlines

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Preferred: 6 months related experience or equivalent through volunteering, education, or military service
  • Availability to work during operating hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Customer Service skills preferred
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional to frequent physical activities including standing, walking, lifting, and reaching
  • Performing sedentary work and multiple tasks continuously
  • Responding to sounds and operating office equipment
