Job summary

Landmark Credit Union in Wisconsin is seeking a full-time teller to serve members with accuracy and courtesy. You will handle cash, deposits, and withdrawals, and explain basic credit union products, while representing the credit union professionally.

This role requires weekday shifts and every other Saturday, a high school diploma, and strong communication skills. You will work in a team-oriented branch, maintain a balanced cash drawer, and support cross-selling of services.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with cash handling or customer service preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving, organizational skills, and ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Must gain proficiency in all programs and systems used for this job.
  • Understand and comply with company policies and all related laws and regulations.
  • Able to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Provides friendly teller services to members with accurate daily cash drawer balance.
  • Cross-sells other member services.
  • Processes mail deposits and withdrawals.
  • May assist in balancing the ATM (if not performed by outside source).
  • May train to perform open/closing duties with manager on site.
  • May train to verify checks for other tellers.
  • May train to perform overrides.
  • May be cross trained to help in other positions within the branch.
  • May attend training at headquarters or off-site location.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

This 40 hr/week position requires working weekday shifts and every other Saturday.

BRANCH HOURS

Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Friday, 8:30 AM to 6 PM
Saturday, 9 AM to 1 PM

NATURE AND SCOPE

Performs transactional duties to serve members by receiving or paying out funds with high accuracy. Provides cash receipt and payment services in accordance with credit union policies and procedures. Presents and explains a basic number of credit union products and services tomembers. Represents the credit union in a positive and professional manner.

REQUIREMENTS
  • 1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2. Previous work experience with cash handling or customer service preferred.
  • 3. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills,organizational skills and the ability to work independently and within deadlines.
  • 4. Must have experience or be able to gain proficiency in all programs and systems usedfor this job.
  • 5. Must develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as theyrelate to this position. Must comply with all company policies and procedures and alljob-related State and federal laws and regulations.
  • 6. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
