Job description

Position Summary:

The Teller serves as the primary point of contact for customers and non-customers, providing outstanding customer service during each interaction. They perform various customer transactions daily, offer information, resolve issues, and seek opportunities to strengthen customer relationships through suggesting other bank products and services.

Note:

To promote employee engagement and retention within the Customer Service department, and to support branch growth, it is essential to have well-trained employees at all levels. The 6-month position guideline ensures employees are set up for success. Employees wishing to apply for other positions must be in their current role/branch for at least 6 months. Exceptions can be discussed with a Customer Service Officer.

Regular Hours:
  • West Dodge: Full-Time (40 hours), varying Monday - Friday between 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Essential Functions:
  • Accept and accurately process all financial transactions.
  • Maintain responsibility for cash drawer and follow proper balancing procedures.
  • Handle semi-routine assignments, recognizing deviations from accepted practices.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns.
  • Cross-sell bank services and refer customers to other departments to meet management goals.
  • Maintain knowledge of products, fees, policies, and stay current on offerings to make informed suggestions.
  • Ensure compliance with all bank regulations related to assigned responsibilities.
  • Adhere to all bank policies, laws, and regulations; complete necessary compliance training.
  • Report compliance issues, violations, or legal concerns as per bank policies.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail essential.
  • Previous sales and customer service experience preferred.
  • Effective communication skills, promoting the bank's customer service philosophy.
  • Basic math and proficient computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
Working Environment:

Indoor setting, not exposed to outdoor elements or hazards. Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods. Some sedentary work involving lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs occasionally.
